Unbelievable Live Bait Bite
The big fish are up moving more and more. My boat had 2 double digit fish in October. We should start seeing more and more giant fish during prespawn and spawn.
No Sugar Coating It…
Good morning all you hardcore Sebastian Inlet fishing friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Again, I don't like doing these kinds of reports, but I tell it like it is, no sugar coating.
Bite Should Be Good Before Next Blow
With the entire week of offshore being canceled there's not too much to talk about. Here is something you can do. Get some planers and pull small spoons around the port and you can maybe get some spanish mackerel and jacks.
Winter Time Patterns Starting
Looks as though we are getting started on our winter time weather pattern. We have received our first cool front bringing strong winds and cooler temperatures with it.
Weekend Fishing Report
Get the latest word on the bite with Damon from Spacefish on the Mark Moses Show. We talk local fishing every Friday on the air at 4pm.
Stick Marsh Kayak Fishing
I had a chance to on Sunday, I made my first trip to Stick Marsh since before the draw down. I have been there since Christmas time last year, and to be honest, it really wasn’t my day! Due to my lack of success, and limited time on the water over the weekend, this will not be a very long report.
Good Fishing Before The Wind
We had 2 days to fish before the blow came on with it. I must say it was pretty good. Bottom fishing was great with lanes and triggers. Kings were also plentiful with a few scattered mahi fish.
Hoping for Spawning Ritual Next Full Moon
With my boat in the shop most of the week I had the opportunity to tagalong with a good friend to Headwaters. This impoundment known for giving up giant bass has been a disappointment for the lure fishermen.
Headwaters Fishing Better by the Day
The fishing is getting better by the day as the lake cools down (75 degrees). Top baits this week for me has been Boogerman Buzzbaits, Zman Jackhammers, John Laurenza Jr. Lure Concepts Spinnerbaits and the Mike Bucca 7” Trick Shad.
Picky Snook, But Reds Still Biting
Water temps have gone up a bit this week with warmer weather but the bait is still around and the bite has been decent early with the full moon. High winds haven’t helped the bite but there are plenty of areas to hide out of the wind as long as its out of the east or west.
Sebastian Jetty Decorum
Good morning all you Sebastian Inlet fans, hop everyone had a wonderful weekend! The weather was great, but not the fishing! This is probably going to be the "worst" fishing report I can remember ever doing, and it is due to the very bad conditions at the inlet due to the excessive waves and wind we have been experiencing all last week, and the weekend.
Drum Fishing RemaIns Good
The fishing has remained on fire with lots of redfish being caught using either topwater plugs or live finger mullet. I expect the bite to continue with more cold fronts coming through.
