Providing guided fishing trips on World Famous Stick Marsh / Farm 13, and all surrounding lakes like Lake Blue Cypress, Lake Garcia, and the hottest lake in Florida: Headwaters Lake.
The S Canal was clear at 2pm today. Top baits this week for me were the Zman Jackhammers, Bass Assassin RSB worms, River2Sea Whopper Ploppers and the Mike Bucca 7” Trick Shad Bone color.
The lake is 8” above regulation. Water temps are around 72 degrees when I’m starting. The S Canal was clear at noon today.
The lake is 12.8” above regulation. Water temps are around 74 degrees when I’m starting. The boat ramp is clear but there is a grass island close to the ramp. The S Canal was slightly blocked this morning but is now clear.
The lake is 14” above regulation. Water temps are around 69 degrees when I’m starting and by the late afternoon will peak at 73. The boat ramp is clear and the S Canal is slightly plugged but easy to get around it.
The lake is still way over regulation and pretty safe to run everywhere. The main canal was clogged as of 3pm today. Take your time around these blockages, most of the time you can’t see if someone is coming down the canal and there could be a terrible accident. Those fish aren’t going anywhere so you don’t have to race to your spots.
The lake is still way over regulation (21″). The main canal was wide open as of 3pm today. There is a bunch of grass (hyacinth and junk) in and around the ramps. Power through it and you’ll be fine.
The live bait bite is on fire. Grass edges near deep water is the key. The bigger the shiner the bigger the fish. Lots of big females full of eggs are being caught right now.
The lake is up 20” over regulation and there is a lot of floating vegetation pretty much everywhere. The vegetation is blocking the S canal just south of the entrance to the North Lake.
The Headwaters Lake is up 18″ and there is a lot of floating vegetation pretty much everywhere…
The big fish are showing up on the shallow water flats. We should start seeing more and more giant fish during prespawn and spawn. I’ve seen a few beds In different areas on the lake.
