ABOUT

Snookman has fished Sebastian Inlet for 52 years and counting. Now retired, he's always got his boots on the ground at the inlet, serving as a volunteer park safety officer for Sebastian Inlet State Park. If you want to know what's biting at the inlet, he is your man, the SNOOKman, to tell you!

    Fish Biting Throughout the Inlet

    August 19, 2024

Good morning, Sebastian Inlet fishing junkies! Over the weekend, the water had cleaned up quite a bit, but remained cool at 81 degrees, which is a good temperature to improve the fishing action. Beginning on Friday and throughout the weekend, mullet arrived from the NE blow we had last week, but that does NOT mean the mullet run has begun, contrary to what some anglers claim.

      Action ALL Over the Inlet!

      July 22, 2024

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather was awesome, and so was the fishing! The action was all over the inlet, but the north side was the better spot due to the cleaner water. There were baitfish in and around the inlet over the weekend: finger mullet, greenies and pilchards, mojarras in the back, but still NO glass minnows in the surf that are usually present this time of year.

        Steady Fishing @ Inlet

        July 8, 2024

For the most part the fishing has been pretty steady at the inlet, about the same as it was last week, but has picked up a bit on both sides due to the cleaner and calmer water, also the presence of baitfish, greenies and nice schools of finger mullet coming into, and around the inlet.
