Inshore Fishing Remains Good
Inshore is still very good fishing. Plenty of big trout, snook and some redfish. If you find the bait pods you can find the fish. Mangroves, docks and spoil islands are all holding fish if the bait is there.

I’m Capt. Glyn Austin, the owner and operator of Going Coastal Fishing Charters. I’m a central Florida native who was born and raised in the Melbourne and Palm Bay area. It’s here where my love for fishing was nurtured. Now, that passion is now my full time job.

Inshore fishing is still good with clear water for sight fishing. Snook, Trout, Redfish and jacks are the species we can sight fish with the clean water.
Had a decent week fishing inshore. Trout, slot sized Redfish(even though we can’t keep them), over and undersized Snook and Jacks were all on the menu!
The inshore bite has still been pretty good. Bait is thinning out in some areas, but the predator fish are still in the areas we are able to find it. Big and small snook, redfish and trout are are along the mangroves as well as plenty of jacks and some ladyfish.
Had another good week inshore with the winds blowing the beach was pretty rough. Theres a lot of mullet in the lagoon for our spring run and the activity is pretty good. Plenty of snook and some bigger trout and a few reds mixed in. Jacks are thick in the mullet schools as well.
Inshore this week was on the agenda with the winds we have been having. Fished the lagoon and had a good time with a bunch of trout, some snook and a few slot reds in the mangroves. There’s plenty of mullet and glass minnows after last weeks rains and the water has been clean which makes it good for the sight fishermen.
Winds were on fire most of last week making the fishing tough. Had to fish protected shorelines and pick away at a bunch of trout, jacks, ladyfsh and bluefish with some snook and redfish mixed in.
Inshore bite and inlet bite was good all week despite the wind. Plenty of snook at the inlet with a bunch of jacks and a few redfish as well. The flats at the inlet were also busy with a bunch of bluefish some mackerel, ladyfish, jacks and the occasional pompano.
Had a good week fishing inshore. Some snook, trout and a bunch of Mackerel, bluefish, snapper and ladyfish with a few pompano thrown in. The heat has helped the bite but we need some rain to get the bait pods moving around.
Looks like the cold fronts are going to continue into late March and April since we had such a hot February. North winds and colder temps make the beach fishing tough as well as inshore but if we work hard, there’s some good fish to be caught. Big Black drum have been in the inlet and along the flats and bridges around Grant and Sebastian.
