Time to Think Sheepshead!
With slowly declining water temperatures and winter approaching it’s time to think sheepshead. While I’ve been thinking about them for a couple of weeks now this past Tuesday was my first time targeting them this season.

What a weekend we just had weather wise, sheesh. If you are reading this and are sane, then you probably stayed indoors and safely out of the borderline tropical storm conditions that bore down on us this past weekend. But if like me, you show signs of increasing mental instability when it comes to making decisions when it comes to fishing, you may have made a run at going anyway.
Windy & Rough Week on Lagoon
Extremely windy and rough week on the lagoon, but we did have some opportunities of getting some trout as well as some bluefish and mackerel.
Targeting Residential Canals
This week's cooler weather temperatures are going to push redfish, black drum and speckled trout into holes and residential canals where the water temperature is a little more stable.

Landlocked till January…
Earlier in the week we had about 4 hrs to fish. Captain Joe and myself decided to take a ride and see if we could find anything. Well, we found an acre of these big boys.
High Water @ Headwaters
The Headwaters Lake is up 18" and there is a lot of floating vegetation pretty much everywhere...
Wrapping up 2023
Well, we’re in the last two weeks of 2023 and the fishing has been great with lots of big redfish being caught and some great schools of black drum being found.
Monster Hammerhead in the Surf
Andrew Berube and Bobby Minotti of Eastern Florida Shark Hunters safely landed and released this 13 foot Hammerhead shark while fishing from the beach last week.
Strong Bite Continued
The bite continued to be strong this past week on all categories from artificial to live bait. The redfish and trout have been hanging in and around the sand holes as the water temps have dropped a little after this recent cool front .
Spent the Week Inshore
We spent the entire week fishing in shore. New trout, along with some snook and reds. The lady, fish and bluefish were also very thick around the lagoon.
