Clogs @ Headwaters
The lake is still way over regulation and pretty safe to run everywhere. The main canal was clogged as of 3pm today. Take your time around these blockages, most of the time you can’t see if someone is coming down the canal and there could be a terrible accident. Those fish aren’t going anywhere so you don’t have to race to your spots.
Inlet Bite Fluctuating with Water Clarity
Good morning all you Sebastian Inlet fishing fans, and sightseers, hope everyone enjoyed the nice summer weather we had over the weekend! Now we are back to the winter stuff!
Weekend Radio Report
Get the latest word on the bite with Damon from Spacefish on the Mark Moses Show. We talk local fishing every Friday on the air at 4pm.
Soft Muddy Bottoms
The snook bite was pretty consistent this week! I've been having success on small 3.5" paddle tails rigged on 1/8oz jigs. Your best bet for finding larger snook this time of year is going to be later in the day in shallow, wind protected areas with a soft, muddy bottom.
Camp Mack on the Kissimmee River
Camp Mack is a place steeped in history and tradition, and today serves as a remote outpost surrounded by thousands of acres of great Bass fishing, and serves as a great vacation destination for those that pursue a variety of nature pursuits.
Yep, It’s Wintertime
This report is going to be another short one as nobody has been out due to the cold weather, very brisk winds and rough seas. All which makes for lousy fishing, especially at the inlet!
Full Moon May Trigger Good Bass Fishing
We have a full moon this week and this might be the trigger for some bass to lock down on beds. Stick Marsh is showing signs of coming back to better fishing after the drawdown over the summer.
Near Coastal Grocery Shopping!
It’s been a good week for catching tasty fish here on the Space Coast. Tripletail action is back in full force and we’re putting fish on ice regularly. The area from Port Canaveral to Sebastian Inlet has the proper water temperatures to hold these fish again.
The Fish Were Chewing
This week's been an absolute dream compared to the last couple months! From Cape Canaveral down to South Melbourne, the fish action was outstanding!
Drum Schooling on Shallow Flats
The schools of redfish and black drum have moved up into the shallow flats on sunny days and are crushing a live shrimp on a naked hook, or live shrimp on a jig head on the windier days.
Warm Trend Should Keep Fish Active
It looks like we have light at the end of our crazy weather tunnel this week. We will be getting on a warm trend throughout Central Florida starting this week which will continue to make these fish active. The water clarity has been great throughout Mosquito Lagoon making for some great sight fishing.
Good Hauls Offshore When Weather Permits
Keep an eye out for the Ocean Obsession's next offshore trip. They are putting their customers on some quality fish when the weather cooperates.
