Tough Bite on the Lakes
Yet another tough bite on the lakes this past week. Saturday was a Marathon day which consisted of being on 3 different lakes in a 10 hour grind for only 11 fish to the boat.
Tripletail Time!
It’s tripletail time here on the Space Coast! Tripletail are one of the best eating, fighting, and all around coolest gamefish in my personal opinion the space-coast has to offer.
Harsh Conditions Damper Fishing @ Inlet
Good morning, Sebastian Inlet fishing family. Here is your abbreviated report for this week. Not much was happening at the inlet last week.
Sebastian Inshore
Spent most of the week fishing inshore due to the high winds from this weeks front. The bite after the front started off slow but picked up as the weather warmed and water cleaned up a bit.
Weekend Radio Report
Get the latest word on the bite with Damon from Spacefish on the Mark Moses Show. We talk local fishing every Friday on the air at 4pm.
Lackluster Open to Snook Season @ Inlet
Snook season open up with a very lack luster bite, not very many have been caught to date, the water has been too cool for them to be active, 62-64 along the coast, we need it to climb back up to 70 or above to get them "comfy" to want to play.
Black Drum Remains Star of the Show
This past week brought me so much joy. The families that I’ve had out fishing on the lagoons and near-coastal waters have been a blast to be with. To be able to share in their memories is truly a blessing from God.
The Conway Chain – Little Lake Conway
This week I embarked on an adventure to fish a new chain of lakes for the first time ever, the Conway Chain in Orlando, so without further adu, let us jump right on in.
Fishing Enjoying Roller Coaster of Weather
We have had a roller coaster of weather this winter but the fish have enjoyed it. On the back side of the fronts the fish are eating everything but the kitchen sink.
Pompano, and Snook Season
Another week has gone by, and the reports have all been pretty decent, featuring black drum, pompano, and whiting. Oh, and we can't forget the thousands of jacks out there.
Inconsistent Bite Inshore
The inshore bite is still inconsistent as the rain continues and the temperatures fluctuate. Cold, dirty water has slowed the bite and it improves as it warms up.
Bass Still Playing Hard to Get
Another week has passed and for me the bass are still playing hard to get. Water temperatures starting the mornings off with low 60’s is dominating the slowness of getting fish to take our offerings.
