Sebastian Inlet Report
To start off I'd like to remind everyone again since the finger mullet are coming down the beaches now, you cast netters PLEASE only take what you need and make sure to toss the remainder of your catch back into the water alive!
Mullet Showing Up Along Beaches
The inshore bite is hit or miss and the mullet are showing up along the beaches. Some bait around but the water is dirty still from the late week rains last week.
Fishing Getting Better Offshore
Since the storm, fishing has slowly gotten better each day. I'm not saying the fishing is good but just better each day. lol We are starting to see much more mahi mahi and this is about that time of year again.
Garcia & Headwaters
I fished two days on Garcia and one on Headwaters last week. Over the Labor Day weekend I hit up Garcia with my wife. It was nice to get out on the boat with her as it doesn't happen all that much. The fish cooperated and ate what we offered to them.
Black Drum Schooling on the Flats
It's that time of year we're starting to get some nice schools of black drum up on the flats. We are also seeing good schools of redfish in the grass flats as well.
Top Baits @ Headwaters
Top baits this week for me has been a Bass Assassin RSB worms, 6th Sense Catwalk and the Mike Bucca Bull Glide 7”.
Bite Still Hot!
The weather may have cooled off just a little but that bite still seems to be hot. We are continuing to boat several different species trout and redfish to snook and black drum.
Bite Remains Good in Mosquito Lagoon
Even after our one day of hurricane conditions here on the East Coast the bite continues strong throughout the Mosquito Lagoon. The bait continues to be covering the flats and shorelines making for great cover and opportunities for game fish.

Snook season is in full swing!
The first of the month marked the opening of snook season and the bite has been pretty much wide open. With little to no cool down, the snook are thriving with warmer water temps. From residential canals and thick mangrove shorelines inshore to fishing the beaches and inlets the bite couldn’t be much better.
