Full Moon Approaching…
With the full moon approaching, the tarpon bite is on fire and snook are feeding on the outgoing tide on schools of finger mullet around docks. We're getting schools of black drum as well as redfish on certain points throughout the lagoon, too.
A Little Tease from the Fall Weather
It seemed as the Fall weather gave us a little tease here in Central FL this past week with some lows in the 60’s. Unfortunately that was short lived and we are back into high 70’s at night and 90’s in the day.
Weekend Fishing Report
Get the latest word on the bite with Damon from Spacefish on the Mark Moses Show. We talk local fishing every Friday on the air at 4pm.
Budget Friendly Starter Kayaks
So maybe you stumble upon my weekly writings because you have already been bitten with the kayak fishing bug and you’re looking to upgrade from your starter kayak to something a little more advanced. Maybe you have stumbled upon these reports because you want to be more involved in fishing, and you want to have a chance to get out from the shorelines, and the beaches and explore the water.
Mullet Run Madness in the Surf
September turned in a variety of catches surf fishing the Space Coast. Black drum, pompano, margate, palometas and snook recognize the main cast of characters. Headwaters? More like HOTwaters!
The lake is very hot (93 degrees) by the end of the day. Last year, water temperatures were already down in the upper 70s. Hopefully, we will see the temps dropping soon because fishing in October 2022 was incredible. I keep a log book and make notes everyday I’m on [...]

Mullet Run Ramping Up!
Our Mullet Run is starting to ramp up on our Lagoon System. Finding heavy concentrations of bait in a creek mouth type of an area will usually reward you with bites from snook, trout and reds. Getting to an area just before the sun starts to show is the priority [...]
Slower Past Week
This past week has been a much slower catching week for us here at Fineline Fishing Charters. The bite that should've been there with the new moon just wasn't.
Transition Month Offshore
September is what I like to call a transition month. We have had our first major storm shake things up after 4 months of calm.
Welcome Respite from Heat
It looks as though we are getting a little mild cooling front this week and I'm not complaining. Let's not get crazy though when I say cooling its down to 91 degrees instead of 98, but I'll take it.
