Topwater Action
The topwater bite has been amazing lately! I've been having great success throwing Heddon Super Spook Jr's (a 3.5" topwater which I rigged with single inline hooks) around structure with plenty of bait present.
Great Week to Be a Fisherman
Another week has passed, and it seems the fish enjoyed the splendid weather just as much as we enjoyed catching them! The only downside was the arrival of those uninvited catfish...
Good Week Fishing Inshore
It was a good week fishing inshore and the wind was down during the week allowing us to get off the beach to fish but the bait was scarce and the fishing was slow.
Headwaters Bass Report
The S Canal was clear at 2pm today. Top baits this week for me were the Zman Jackhammers, Bass Assassin RSB worms, River2Sea Whopper Ploppers and the Mike Bucca 7” Trick Shad Bone color.
Front Shouldn’t Impact Bite
Just when I thought the fronts were finished here in the Central Florida area, there seems to be another traveling across the south this week. It doesn’t look like the temps are going to drop drastically, but it will bring some gusty conditions for a couple of days.
Bait Starting to Arrive
With the warmer water and Mullett school starting to arrive the top order bite is turning on as well as a few tarpon are starting to show up here and there.

“That’s Fishing”
The weather was downright horrible for much of the first portion of the week with strong north winds and even some rain passing through on Thursday. The bite however was really good which was a complete opposite from the not so good weather conditions.
St. Sebastian River – Easter Weekend
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! When I set out to fish/write the Easter weekend report I felt it was only right to fish the St. Sebastian River. Interesting fact on nomenclature, the inlet on the other side of the Indian River Lagoon is called Sebastian Inlet.

Good Fishing Despite Conditions
Another super rough and windy week for us. Fishing was pretty good though. Plenty of small snook inshore and some trout as well all on DOA paddle tails and jerk baits.
Surf Fishing Heating Up
