The topwater bite has been amazing lately! I’ve been having great success throwing Heddon Super Spook Jr’s (a 3.5″ topwater which I rigged with single inline hooks) around structure with plenty of bait present. I’ve been catching big reds and big snook with some large jacks thrown in the mix.
If topwater isn’t your thing, I’ve also been having success skipping 3.5″ paddle tails and 5″ jerk shads up in mangrove packets. Trout can also be found in abundance on flats holding bait as well as along the drop offs near mangroves.
