I have been enjoying my first week off of school, and have taken advantage of the opportunity to get out and fish and explore new places/places I haven't been in over a year. I fished a new spot on the Banana River outside of Cocoa Beach, fished an early morning on the Indian River Lagoon and did some Bass fishing with my cousin Mark who is down for our family reunion. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and Happy New Years! Our family had a wonderful Christmas, our two young boys had a great time, which was just magical for my wife and I to see.
This past weekend I had a chance to get out a go fishing on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I launched out of Long Point Park Saturday and had a good trip, and went out to Headwaters on Sunday, my first time fishing there since June. So I wanted to give a bit of info about both trips, and both launch spots.
If you are reading this and you like mixing it up here on the Space Coast between freshwater fishing and inshore stuff, this is for you! I put in a combined 20 hours of kayak fishing using only "freshwater" designed baits.
