Fishing has been absolutely phenomenal lately, with the only obstacle being the wind! When we’ve been able to get out, I’ve been targeting a variety of structures, including flats, mangrove shorelines, and docks.

We had a little bit of wind last week which has been the continuing story this spring. Wind and cold fronts that are making the fishing harder than it should be this time of year.
Finally, one of my favorite times of the year! Spring is typically a few of the more windy months throughout the year, but thankfully our inshore fishing really starts heating up and the wind has little impact most days and can even help in some situations.
Fished inshore with mixed results. Inconsistent cold weather and winds have made the bait scarce and with the bait scarce the gamefish are scarce as well.
Despite the relentless winds keeping many anglers off the water, fishing has been exceptional when conditions allow. On my recent outings, I’ve found the usual suspects – snook, trout, and redfish – feeding actively around schools of bait.

Well gang, it’s definitely spring time. We have cold conditions one day, hot conditions the next and 360° of wind twice a week. This has the fish completely confused and almost un-pattern-able in the lagoons right now.

Good week of fishing inshore and nearshore. Nearshore bite was good with plenty of bluefish, mackerel, jacks and sharks. Plenty of action on artificial baits as well as live bait for the sharks and mackerel.
