Water Clearing Up After Big Winds
The water is starting to clean up some after the big winds last week. Snook have been eating large shrimp or mullet in the 3-to-5-inch range properly placed on a dock or a deep edge.

The water is starting to clean up some after the big winds last week. Snook have been eating large shrimp or mullet in the 3-to-5-inch range properly placed on a dock or a deep edge.
Black drum are still around in good numbers and the flats are starting to load up with mullet, which will be turning the top water bite on over the next few weeks.
We’ve had some great fishing with the new moon targeting schools of redfish and black drum.
The black drum bite continues to be very strong. We’re starting to see cobia on the beach, and hopefully the tarpon won’t be far behind with the forecast of warmer weather for the next couple weeks.
We continue to have good schools of both redfish and black drum readily eating shrimp tipped jig heads. The trout have been more consistent eating soft plastics.
Despite having a very windy week, the fishing has been very good with lots of double hook ups of redfish and black drum.
The bite has been on fire this past week with large schools of redfish and black drum eating artificials and live shrimp. Snook have been eating a jumbo live shrimp free lined too.
The fishing has continued to be great with some very large schools of black drum and redfish. With this cold front, look for the bite to continue to be very strong.
The story this week has been all about the black drum with large schools of both slot size and breeder size tailing in the flats and eating a well placed shrimp.
The fishing this past week has been on fire with lots of redfish and black drum and now that the water is warmed up, we are starting to catch some snook too.

Memphis and his dad, Chris, had a fun day fishing the Mosquito Lagoon with Capt. Mike Mann. This black drum is one of a bunch of fish that they caught, including some nice reds, sheepsheads, and seatrout.
