Melbourne Beach, FL – low tide – Wednesday, 5/6/2026 @ 5:30pm

Pretty water, but pretty weedy. Definitely fishable, far from optimal. The weeds were present (and thicker) at high tide, as well, but was hoping to see a more significant reduction at peak low. I did not personally try fishing it; a neighbor made the attempt on outgoing, but quickly conceded to the sargassum. Tomorrow brings a S/SW wind at mild speeds of around 7mph. Hopefully that will be enough to clear out the surf. Friday and Saturday mornings should also present fish-friendly conditions in the AM.
