three forks bass

With the two tropical systems that passed by in the Atlantic last week, and another system supposed to cross our state this week, it has made any kind of a fishing expedition tough to find a day with winds under 15 mph and rain. I’ve heard that they have been moving water from the Fort Drum area through Garcia into the Stick Marsh and then passed through 3 Forks for the conditions of the tropical rain we were to have gotten. Garcia water levels dropped drastically last week but I haven’t been able to see for myself yet. The winds create another issue for Garcia and Headwaters which consist of moving vegetation, sometimes blocking areas off to boaters moving around the lakes.

The only good thing that the last couple of weeks have given us is water temperatures will finally lower for a Fall Transition on our lakes. The bass are really going to start to feed more aggressively before the Spawning activity starts soon.
