Not much of a fishing report from me this week. I did take a drive down to lake Garcia to check out the ramp area and the water is high now. This lake is one of my favorites to fish for many reasons. Its picturesque beauty and vegetation makes for a good fish habitat. Once these winds die down, I want to spend some time fishing it once again. I added a new addition to my boat trailer this past week, as well.

I’ve been looking at mostly all the bass boats around and almost all have a set of steps that make it much safer to get in and out of the boat. The prices of most of the advertised units have a price tag of anywhere from $450.00 to $650.00. Way more than I wanted to spend for an item that I think would help me when fishing solo. I found a set on Amazon that was much cheaper. I know the saying “you get what you pay for” but these days, it was worth a shot and only time will tell.

This week’s weather doesn’t look too promising for our area again so maybe by the weekend I can try them out.
