As expected we have finally got our first taste of fall! Cooler temps, windy weather, and mullet — and lots of it! Overall this week has been some good fishing, some days have been a little tougher than others, but with a little more time and effort we have still managed plenty of nice fish! Big schools of black drum are being found around large sandbars and shorelines with docks in all three lagoon systems. Targeting these fish, my favorite bait of choice is a rotten stinky shrimp. The more they stink the better they work! Half a blue crab or a gulp shrimp have been doing the trick as well.

The Bull reds have slowed down but there is still a handful around cruising the inlets and along the beach, large chunks of mullet, ladyfish are without a doubt the best bet! This should continue for the next month and only get better the more we get a stable weather pattern.
