It’s that time of year again when anything can happen on a fishing charter along the Space Coast. We’ve been catching big redfish, snook, tarpon and black drum over this past week with our clients. Surprisingly, most of these fish are being caught on live shrimp. We usually rig our bait on a jig head or knocker rig. The bite has been on fire, and captain Justin and I have had days where over 40 black drum, redfish and margate have been landed.
We’re gearing up for the annual tarpon migration that started on Wednesday of last week and should last through the next month and a half.
