It seems as though Mother Nature is playing catch up with the recent rain scattered across Central Florida this past week. We have been dodging storms over the Labor Day week and it looks as though the afternoon showers will continue through the this coming week as well. The recent rain has not affected the bite around the north lagoon area.

We are still boating several different species from redfish, snook, trout and black drum just to mention a few. The bait is still hanging around in great numbers especially across the shallows, too. Look for the bait pods around structure or on the shallow grass and the game fish will be mixed in. Plugs, soft plastics and spoons have all been working well early as well as live bait like shrimp, mullet and pinfish are getting it done as well.
