The trout fishing in the Mosquito Lagoon has really turned on this week with lots of trout being caught using pigfish and croakers as well as some top water first thing in the morning. Tarpon along the beach have been eating early morning and kingfish have really moved in with the larger bait pods arriving. For tarpon, a mullet or a pogey trolled behind the boat will usually get you some action. Make sure you use some steel and a stinger hook when looking for the kingfish.
