night snook

Fishing has been exceptionally strong over the past few weeks, with the best action we’ve seen all year! Early mornings have been particularly productive, with a consistent bite that starts to slow down as the sun rises higher. While finding fish can be challenging, they tend to seek cooler water in the shade of mangroves and docks as the day progresses. I’ve also spotted snook and reds cruising the shallow flats, up to 20 yards from the shoreline. Effective lures include paddle tails, jerk shads, artificial shrimp and topwater baits in these shaded areas. Live bait enthusiasts will find success with mullet, ladyfish, and shrimp.

Get out there and make the most of this awesome fishing!
