The recent weather this past week has brought us a lot of wind and rain into the New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach area. With the strong easterly push coming off the Atlantic it’s also pushed an influx of water into Mosquito Lagoon as well. As this low moves out things should get back to normal through out the Central Florida area. The fish are still there but there is some bouncing around involved as they are not all congregant in one location with the higher water conditions. As the water starts to lower look for the fish to start getting back to their fall time patterns across the New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon areas. The main factor has been bait. If you find the bait you will find the fish , look for the bait to be holding on and around the bars and also on the shallow grass flats of the Lagoon. The weather looks to more stable toward the end of the week making for a less chance of showers.
