seatrout mosquito lagoon

There has been some shifting winds this past week bringing an influx of water into the back waters of New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon. As the wind and higher water does make it a little more challenging to fish in the fish are still there and they are still hungry. Look for the bait to be pushed up a little closer to the shorelines and the fish not that far behind them. Soft plastics, twice baits, spoons and live bait have all been working well.

This week the weather looks to be pretty stable making for some great sight fishing but as we get into the weekend it’s calling for some rainy days.
