This past week I had the pleasure of coming on board with friends this week and left my boat at home. First day was getting invited to go with Captain Glyn Austin, who shared his backyard waters with me and another good friend. Just a guys day on the water. Lots of laughs, fish and a little pain for the day. The pain was from the 35+ lb. jack that I foolishly accepted to fight. These ocean jacks are so strong! We boated one tarpon and had two others that we were able to jump several times but came unhooked.

The next day it was on the lagoon with the friend I shared the boat with on the day before. We ended up getting a Super Slam for the boat catching several snook, trout, a puppy red, and one juvenile tarpon. These fish were gorging themselves on small glass minnows.

It was a fun filled two days of fishing with friends for me.
