The little frontal system that passed through on Friday made for a much slower bite for me on the Stick Marsh. North winds started the day with 10-15 mph winds and made it tough to fish in. By the late morning to noon it completely stopped and got really hot. I fished just about all my usual lures with no results but switching to a small Crankbait that runs the 2-4 foot depths and finding submerged shell beds I started to get bites. Saturday was a complete opposite of what Friday was. We hit up our first spot close to the ramp and didn’t pull up the Power Poles for 2 hours. Several double ups and 28 bass were caught before the sun finally came out of the eastern skies. After the fish had enough of us and quit playing we moved on but by then the winds started blowing out of the east at 23 mph. The bite completely disappeared and the day was over by 11am. Best bite times are from 6am to about 8:30 am.
