The inshore bite has been super early this past week due to extremely hot temps with water temps climbing to the 90 degree mark. However, the early morning bite has been ok with some snook and trout in the mix as well as a few redfish and jacks on occasion.
Nearshore, the bite has been super tough as well with the bait moving day to day and the cold water upwellings continuing. There has been some bait close to shore and out in 40-50’ of water. When you can find the bait we have been getting some spinner sharks, jacks, a few bonito, a few kingfish and some tarpon. Live bait has been best but artificial will work well if you can put in the time to learn the patterns of the fish.
