New Smyrna Beach has had some great chamber of commerce days this past week with clear skies and plenty of sun. The fish have definitely liked the weather as well with several different species coming boat side this past week. As we start to move forward into Spring the fishing will only continue to be good.

The redfish, trout and black drum have all been working the potholes and grass flats of Mosquito Lagoon. Live bait and artificials have both been working well as live shrimp has been the go to. The Intracoastal and backwaters has also been producing a great bite with snook, redfish, jacks and trout all coming boat side. Shrimp and live finger mullet have been doing the trick while focusing on the deeper shorelines and oyster beds holding bait. The weather looks to be good for the up coming week as it seems that Spring is in full swing.
