Another beautiful fall week with calm winds and seas and temps in the 80s. The snook, trout and pompano have been very cooperative on live bait and artificial inshore and the redfish have been spotty. Warmer than usual water temps in the mid to high 70s cleaner water from no rain, and plenty of bait around has helped the bite quite a bit. Hopefully, the grass flats that had decent growth made it through the rainy season and we keep getting more grass throughout the winter months.

Beach fishing has been good with plenty of mackerel, jacks, pompano, sharks and there’s been a few schools of tarpon around as well. Jigs and soft plastic have worked well for most species with live bait working best for the tarpon and sharks. We get a couple days of good weather this week then your typical fall patterns of NE winds and cold fronts are back in the picture.
