Spring time in the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach is the place to be! The fish have been happy with several different species coming boat side this past week along with a few slams as well.

Mosquito Lagoon has been producing some great sight fishing for both black drum and redfish when the weather decides to cooperate. The creeks and the flats are showing great signs of life with bait fish and where’s there’s bait fish you will find game fish. I thought we were finished with the cold fronts for the year but it seems as though there may be one dipping down late this week early next week. With that being said, the weather looks pretty good through Saturday and the fish are definitely chewing.
