
The bite continues to stay strong throughout the waters of New Smyrna Beach and the Mosquito Lagoon. We have had some breezy conditions this past week but it has actually been a blessing as it has got the water moving and keep it cooler on the water. The snook and Jack bite has been good in the deeper waters. Live bait and artificials have been working well to catch both while targeting structure and bait pods. Mosquito Lagoon has been also producing a great bite with redfish, trout and black drum as the targeted species. Once again, live bait and artificials have been doing the trick on the shallow grass flats. It looks as though we will be getting a percentage of rain into the weekend and early next week which will help cool water temps down a bit…
