Good week of inshore fishing with a little bit of nearshore as well. Inshore has been decent despite the winds with plenty of trout, tripletail, jacks and bluefish with a few snook mixed in on live bait. Early in the week and last weekend the winds were down and the nearshore bite was good with plenty of bluefish, mackerel, weakfish and blacktip sharks. The pompano bite has slowed down a bit with the warmer weather and dirtier water. The winds got strong as the week progressed and has been relentless lately and making the bait hard to find and the fishing tough. Upside is the water has been warm and the snook bite has gotten a bit better in the lagoon as long as the bait is around. This week will bring some rain with another front and since the temps will be warm still, the bait should push out of the the freshwater creeks and raise the levels in the lagoon and improve the bite.
