The bite has been good on Headwaters Lake, with water temperatures around 83° today.

• Bass Assassin RSB Worm — Junebug Red

The topwater bite has been best early before the heat sets in, with the Carolina rig and RSB Worm keeping fish coming as the morning progresses. Focus on hydrilla edges, wind blown points and transition areas going from shallow to deep water.

We also spent a couple days on Stick Marsh this week. The water is moving down at the spillway with all this rain. We caught a couple fish on Rat-L-Traps, but the majority of our fish came on Carolina-rigged Senkos in Black & Blue.
