We had a great day surf fishing in Melbourne Beach. The sandbar sharks were out and hungry. We caught 4 or 5 of them, along with a good number of pompano and whiting. We were using pompano rigs with a combination of bait including clams, shrimp, and live sand fleas. In my opinion, the shrimp proved most effective in garnering a bite from all the species we were hitting.
