Well, we’ve got another week of wind and weeds along the beach, but the weekend is looking great!

Over the past week in the Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral areas, there’s been a lot of seaweed washing ashore, getting tangled in pompano rigs and making a mess. For those who fished the right tides and areas, there were still some whiting and pompano being caught.

On the inshore side, the bite has remained steady with plenty of redfish, trout, and a few snook here and there. Live shrimp and artificial baits like Gulp shrimp, D.O.A. CAL series, and Yo-Zuri fingerling baits have been the top choices. Bone and chartreuse/white colors have been working well, but don’t forget the trusty red heads!

Not much more to add this week—hopefully we get some good stretches of weather so we can really get out there and tear up the fish. As always, tight lines!
