The fish have definitely got into their winter time patterns with the recent cold fronts that have hit Central Florida over the past week. The water temps have dropped especially in the shallow water of Mosquito Lagoon forcing the fish into the pot holes and onto the mud flats looking for warmth. This is one of my favorite times to fish with numbers of fish condensed in the holes and shallows and clear water to see them makes for a great day. They have been chewing well on mullet, cut bait , shrimp and artificials. It looks like we have another front moving in on us later this week so the bite should only continue to be strong .
