Fishing hasn’t changed much over the past couple of weeks. Water temperatures continue to climb, and while the fish are still feeding, a slower presentation and retrieve continue to produce the best results.

I’ve been relying less on paddle tails lately and have been throwing mostly topwaters, MirrOlure Lil Johns, and 1/4 ounce gold spoons. The early morning topwater bite has been hit or miss, but it’s still worth starting the day with before switching to subsurface lures.

Snook have been the highlight lately, with some quality trout and redfish mixed in, along with plenty of jack crevalle and ladyfish. tarpon are also continuing to roll along the deeper channels, so keep an eye out if you’re looking for a shot at a big fish.
