The week started out amazing. We had flat calm conditions, storms at a minimum and hungry fish. Kings have been firing nicely on the reefs. Bunker have been plentiful and that makes it all super easy! Now, that was the start but not the end.
The annual thermocline is here and it’s shutting the fish down. The thermocline is ice cold water that moves in from the deep and creates all sorts of havoc. Thermoclines can work to our advantage, as well, by pushing big fish like AJs and ARS closer to the surface. This can produce some fun times, for sure.
Let’s hope this coming week is better! Good luck and be safe!
