The spawn is right around the corner! The fish are in the ditches close to the spawning flats. We have been catching them near the flats mid-lake at Headwaters. Our go-to baits have been the Andrew Mixon Boneshaker in black and blue, Hog Farmer Spunk Shad 4.5″ swim bait, Bass Assassin RSB Speed Worm in gooseberry color and the Mike Bucca Bull Shad 8″ gizzard swim bait fished along grass edges at a medium pace have all produced nice fish this week. I have seen a few fish on beds the past couple of days and with this full moon right around the corner, I expect to see more of this activity.
