Summertime is here and all sorts of species are coming through now. From sailfish to mahi to king mackerel, it’s been great fishing and we’ve enjoyed some beautiful weather. Live bait has been so so to catch in the mornings. Your best bet is down towards the brown condos. Throw your bunker nets.
The local reefs, 8A and Pelican have been producing well. No need to go any deeper than that. Chicken rigging has been OK. But if you want to get adventurous and go out deep or way up north and go bottom fishing, it’s still doing ok. Some days currents are worse than others. All the mahi you see we’ve been catching are on the reefs in 80 foot water on wire rigs. Good luck, be safe and God Bless.
