New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon have been heating up with some great fishing this past week. We have had multiple boat slams come boat side with trout, redfish and snook. We have even had the occasional flounder make an appearance. The bait continues to be spread out from Daytona Beach south into the Lagoon. Look for the bait pods and structure as the fish will not be to far away.
Early starts have been the truck lately as we have had some extremely hot days along with afternoon thunderstorms. The weather looks to be about the same heading into next week so I foresee the bite continuing to be strong.
