It’s time for those hot summer bites! August is one hot month, but the action can be incredibly good even though it feels like you just walked out the front door into a bowl of soup at 5 am on your way to go fishing. Giant snook, tarpon, and a variety of large coastal sharks are the target species for me and my anglers in mid to late August. It’s the time of year that you want to get on the water around sunrise and off before the clock strikes noon to take advantage of the cooler mornings and predominantly west winds that make life at this time of year enjoyable. We are primarily using live bait fish for these three species but they will hit artificial lures on occasion. I’ve got August 12, 17, 18, and 19 available to go chase these incredibly hard fighting fish. Anyone who is interested in booking a 5-hour excursion can shoot me an email at catpjimross@cfl.rr.com and I will get you out there for some exhilarating Space Coast fishing action!
