The bite throughout New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon continues to be strong. We have been boating great numbers of nice trout and redfish along with snook in the mix as well. The bait continues to be in thick throughout the backwaters and Mosquito Lagoon. Getting on the water early has definitely been the trick as the bite starts to fade as the heat increases. Both artificial’s and live bait have been producing bites. The summer time pattern is in full affect with showers arriving by mid day so once again early starts are the key.
