redfish

The bite this past week was good to say the least. My clients were mostly targeting redfish and managed to jump a couple of tarpon in the mix. Unfortunately Hurricane Nicole decided to pay a visit to Florida and bringing in strong wind and water to the Central FL coast. The intracoastal in New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach area did swell quite a bit, but will flush back out just as fast as it arrived. Until the higher water levels disappear look for the fish to be in areas that usually are not accessible for them for new food sources. Spoons and plugs work well under high water conditions as you can cover a lot of water with them.
