Stickmarsh, Three Forks, Garcia and Kenansville have been producing alot of bigger fish. This next moon and the end of the month should produce the first spawn. Bigger fish are feeding up on shiners, gizzard shad and the spawning shad that are roaming in large schools.
Artificial bite is wide open, flat sided crank baits, square bills, worms, flukes, spinnerbaits, you name it they are hitting it. Because of the large gizzards ganging up; large swim baits prove successful but alot of casts are necessary. Free lining shiners and finding moving water are key, slow down and keep chunking

Hell yeah man! I’ve really been neglecting freshwater fisheries and have been meaning to get on out there. Looks like the time is nigh! Thanks for posting!
