This week was really good for both numbers and big fish. Over on Stick Marsh we had a trip with over 50 fish, several in the 3lb to 6lb range but had four just over 7lbs. We used shiners, chatterbaits, and Zara Spook topwater baits.
Meanwhile, Lake Garcia has been on fire! We fished three hours and caught 30 fish on a rattle trap, 12 on Bass Assassin RSB worms in Junebug and Redbug, and caught a few on a poppin’ frog, too.
We fished deep at Headwaters after the topwater bite cooled off and had two over 7lbs on the same Bass Assassin RSB worms fished in 20 plus feet of water.
