The artificial bite is excellent for me right now. Jackhammers are definitely the bait of choice. If you have one bait to choose from this would be it. The half ounce golden shiner with a Hogfarmer Spunk Shad in TN Magic is the DEAL! Fish this bait in scattered hydrilla rather quickly and rip it through the tops of the grass then hang on! It’s a great bite in my opinion.
We have been catching some big fish on Bass Assassin RSB worms in Gooseberry and Watermelon Slice. We caught some really solid fish on both of these colors. I use an 1/8oz. tungsten weight and a 6/0 EWG hook. Canals were the best areas for us this week. The Whopper Plopper in the 130 size Loon color has caught some nice fish this week as well targeting areas that were not super deep.
