The weather and the fishing have been really good this past week in the Mosquito Lagoon. Looking at the extended forecast there really is no deviation from the current weather pattern allowing these fish to get set into a steady eating pattern. The redfish and black drum have been chewing well in the shallows of the lagoon where as the trout and snook can be found a little deeper. Live bait and artificials have both been working well. Live shrimp, finger mullet and mud minnows have been getting the job done for live bait. Where as, soft plastics and ADL spoons have been the go to’s for artificials.
