The bottom bite is on for red snapper and grouper! The snapper are typically not that picky so cut bait will work if you can’t get live bait. The grouper are a little pickier, cut bait will sometimes work but they prefer live bait. The AJ bite has slowed down and the kingfish have seemed to disappear this week. There are bait pods all along the beach all the way to the steeple. Look for big predators hanging around these bait pods as well. Have a pitch bait ready in case you stumble on Mr. Cobia, they like to feed on this moving buffet.
