It was a slow bite on both the Lagoon and Stick Marsh. The Lagoon gave up some small trout and mangrove snapper but nothing much more. We did find a spot where there were lots of snook, all were upper slot fish but they had nothing to do with our offerings. The Stick Marsh was just about as slow as well. We did manage to boat 12 bass when they were schooling up on shad but the schools were much smaller than the last few outings there. Lipless crankbaits were the better lure due to the fact you can get a much longer cast with it when the schools popped up. Last week’s back side of a full moon I feel had much affected our bite.
Everyone take care and caution this upcoming week for the July 4th celebrations. The waters will be crowded, don’t forget the Life Jackets.
